Background
For the twentieth anniversary of the
Beatles single Love Me Do, Capitol
records decided to
release on one album all the Number One
hits the Beatles racked up on the
Billboard singles charts from 1962-1970.
Two songs, I Want To Hold Your Hand and
I Feel Fine appear here for the first
time in true stereo instead of
reprocessed stereo that most
of the American Beatles albums were
treated to. Of note here is that this
album was also released in England, but
with a slightly different track
listing.
