Released just in time for Christmas was the next Beatles single. Perhaps one of the strongest double A-sided couplings, We Can Work It Out b/w Day Tripper followed the typical pattern of shooting right up to the top of the charts.

The record charts designated We Can Work It Out as the A-side, and all three charts were in agreement on it's number one status. The equally impressive B-side, Day Tripper, was ranked as high as number five on Billboard, number ten by Cash Box and number fifteen by Record World.
