Background
MGM released the remaining
Beatles/Sheridan songs they had, with
the same special picture sleeve, The
Beatles in big bold lettering, and the
sleeve colored red instead of green. By
this time, Beatles fans were getting
wise to these Tony Sheridan sung
singles, and they didn't either make the
charts or failed to make the top forty
(as in the case of Billboard). However,
the B-Side is an instrumental written by
Paul McCartney and George Harrison
called Cry For A Shadow. This
instrumental, along with John Lennon
singing Ain't She Sweet were the only
two real Beatles recordings to
have come out of the Sheridan recording
sessions in 1961.
