P.S. I Love You

Background

The Beatles first British single was now seeing the light of day in America courtesy of Vee-Jay records. With continued legal pressure from Capitol records, Vee-Jay once again placed a new Beatles' single onto their Tollie label. The single Love Me Do was released in Britain back in October, 1962, and made the top twenty there. With Beatles music saturating the airwaves in 1964, this single was played along with all the rest, and The Beatles scored another number one across the board. The B-side P.S. I Love You received alot of airplay as well, and all three record charts reflected this with Billboard and Cash Box charting the song as high as number 10, and Record World as high as number 13.
