For the first Beatles single of 1965, Capitol Records once again tried the EP format with Beatles fans, and once again, the public failed to go for the idea. Taken from the new Beatles album Beatles '65, this Beatles EP did slightly better on the record charts than the previous one did. Nonetheless, this would be the last Beatles EP Capitol would release, thus abandoning the EP format.
