And I Love Her b/w If I Fell

Background

This was the second single from Capitol to be released on the same day as the I'll Cry Instead single. While this single was added to the playlists at radio stations across America, this single also didn't reach number one. It did do overall better than the I'll Cry Instead single, but Capitol must have thought two ballads, one sung by Paul, the other by John would have made for better record sales.

Of note here is that both Billboard and Record World charted both sides giving And I Love Her as the A-side. If I Fell was delegated the B-side and went as high as number 53 on Billboard and as high as number 59 on Record World. Cash Box, however, considered If I Fell to be the A-side, and didn't list And I Love Her at all.
