Nobody's Child

Background

Once again, ATCO decided to release the other two Beatles/Sheridan songs they acquired, only this time ATCO didn't take any chances. They designed the sleeve with The Beatles' name displayed and also a drawing of four mop top heads (probably to boost sales). Last but not least, they made sure that the A-side was indeed a Beatles song. Ain't She Sweet was one of two Beatles song recorded during the Tony Sheridan sessions in 1961, with John Lennon providing the raw vocals to the song.

Despite the fact that the song was three years old (which is a long time in the progression of Beatles songs), Ain't She Sweet did work well enough on radio and at the cash register to make the top twenty on all three record charts.
